Draculette

If "lesbian vampire" isn't enough to hook you, please scroll to the end for a list of 5 other reasons.

Hello:

What happens when a normal young woman who's just found the perfect man and her first taste of happiness wakes to find that she's been turned into a lesbian vampire?

That idea is what inspired me to write DRACULETTE, an original horror comedy screenplay. Think SCREAM meets THE HUNGER. It's essentially a somewhat humorous take on those old Hammer lesbian vampire films; I take the audience's expectations about what a female vampire should be and turn them on their head.

Logline: Lucy Collins has just found the man of her dreams, but a broken-hearted female vampire named Lillian decides that Lucy will be her new vampire girlfriend, whether she agrees or not.

Genre: Horror Comedy

Synopsis: Life is not treating Lucy Collins kindly. She has few friends, a pill habit, no luck with men, a fashion sense more suited to a bad 80's teen movie, and her dream of becoming a filmmaker just isn't happening. Then she meets Paul Murray at film school, and her life turns around. She finds happiness. Briefly. Lucy has a fight with Paul, and talks jokingly about "giving up men" to a stranger she meets at the park. Unfortunately for Lucy, that stranger is a female vampire named Lillian who's just had her heart broken. Before Lucy can react, Lillian's fangs are buried in her neck. She passes out as a human, and wakes as a vampire.

Lillian has decided that Lucy will be her new vampire girlfriend. Lucy wants nothing to do with Lillian, but when she starts killing her friends, with her blood-lust spinning out of control, she has no choice but to turn to Lillian for help. "But I'm not a lesbian," Lucy says. "You're a female vampire. OF COURSE you're a lesbian. Haven't you ever seen a vampire movie?" Lillian replies.

Lillian's ex, Summer, begins dating an actress named Zooey, famous only for showing her fake breasts in terrible B-movies like JANE STORM, NINJA POLICE. Zooey turns out to be a very bad vampire. When she murders a famous director (Tarantino?) during a carnage-filled rampage at a lavish Hollywood party, which threatens to expose the existence of vampires to the world, Summer knows she has to destroy Zooey. She also wants her old girlfriend, Lillian, back.

As Zooey murders the guests at the Hollywood party, Lucy seizes the opportunity to get Lillian and Summer together again, by calling Lillian to the scene. Lillian arrives just in time to save Summer, by putting a stake through Zooey's big fake breasts, and the former lovers reunite. Lucy finds a bleeding, dying Paul in the pile of bodies. Lucy saves him by feeding him her blood and turning him into a vampire, and they are able to "live" happily forever after.

Here's what you should know about the screenplay, which I would love to send your way:

1) It's scary.
2) It's funny.
3) It features 4 strong female roles.
4) It's 98 pages long.
5) It's polished, sparkling, and ready to go.

The Pair Of Tits That Loves You

Clearly an empowering script for women everywhere. Be the pair of tits that love someone, today!

"The pair tits that love you". The story of an introverted man, burned by love, who is pushed by his closest friends to rejoin life and seek sex and intimacy, he struggles within himself to find the courage to attain his true love. Addressing issues of sex and intimacy on the screen like never before. Promiscuousy versus confidant sexuality, fear of loneliness versus the quest for true love. Friendships, relationships, monogamy and lots of sex. The story portraits the range that intimacy is, across styles, sexes and ages.

The writer of this screenplay is a graduate student of Marital and Family Therapy Counseling. This script is a synthesis of his unique sense of humor with exploration of intimacy challenges couples and individuals are facing every day.

"Will Unmanned" - What would a man do without his balls?

I do hope that the writer intends for "what would a man do without his balls" to be a subtitle- as it would look lovely on screen. This is a comedy men will love: any logline that involves the word "castrate" is generally evidence of a hilarious story!

An over-sexed playboy decides to castrate himself to live an easier life."

Genre: Comedy

Will Govern is a player. He has sex with any willing woman, even when it's a bad idea. His female co-workers are disgusted with him, he has to keep moving from one apartment to another before he gets murdered by a husband of the wives he sleeps with, he has no money or time for anything except his genitals.

Burdened by his sex drive he sees a professional about having his testicles removed. The doctor suggests that Will should try temporary chemical castration before going all the way, and he reluctantly agrees for a trial period before having the operation.

Soon he is faced with a new set of problems - rejection from his male friends, the inability to satisfy women, and his own psychological need for comfort, all driving him to either going back to womanizing, or finding a way to exist without his manhood.

I have written five screenplays and received praise from professional readers on my work.

I'd like to submit this screenplay for your consideration. Contact info below.

Thank you for your time.

JESSE

I am having a hard time getting through the logline- but I see the word "voodooish" used in the summary, so I know it's worth it.

"A shy teenager is tormented by nightmares of her parent's fiery death as her psychopathic brother, who is possessed by a woman their father entombed alive, stalks her for the entities reincarnation."

Title: JESSE
Genre: Thriller/Horror

Part of a revengeful soul of a woman entombed alive takes refuge in the son of one of her murderers, causing him to torch his parents. Years later, he escapes and finishes the entities revenge, then stalks his emotionally tormented sister who's consumed by nightmares of her parent's death. After a bloody rampage he carries his sister off to a voodooish crypt where a voodoo priestess, the grandmother of the murdered woman, reunites her granddaughters split spirit and rejuvenates her mummified remains, but only to their demise. Naked Brothers

Even my boss (who gets the same query email I get) liked this one. Who can resist "penetrating visuals"?

Query - "Naked Brothers"

'This story has a wonderful concept, adorable characters, "penetrating" visuals, a strong theme and a sweet message at the end.' so said an American Script Consultant after helping me polish my comedy/drama, 'NAKED BROTHERS'.

A young Adman with money problems, pretends to find two naked, mute brothers abandoned in a forest and believing he knows what women appreciate, promotes them for his own financial gain. (Robert Pattinson as one of the brothers!)

I'm a BBC trained film maker. I've written close to 140 produced TV scripts and 15 screenplays.

I'd be delighted to send you a copy of NAKED BROTHERS for your consideration.

Ghost In A Bong

Who says being stalked by a serial killer who gets pleasure out of murdering everyone you care about to the point that suicide seems like the only solution, is not the ideal American dream? Jeffrey Ching, that's who.

"Two young lovers' wonderful lives of romance, love and reaching spiritual enlightenment via their bong are put in serious danger when the spirit of a stoner loathing serial killer gets reincarnated in the form of a drug ghost that murders stoners in the form of trippy drug hallucinations whenever they get high."

Think Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle meets A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Meet Mary Eipstock: a sweet lovable young girl who enjoys the simple pleasures of life such as watching movies, hanging out with friends, and tripping out on magic mushrooms. Saying that Mary has had a rough life is the biggest understatement in the history of understatements. Being stalked by a serial killer who gets pleasure out of murdering everyone you care about to the point that suicide seems like the only solution, is not the ideal American dream. However, Mary one day meets another pothead named Seth, and together they outsmart and eliminate the serial killer. They fall in love, and life is great for the both of them, but not for long.

Seth, Mary and their circle of friends' ideal bong smoking, brownie eating lives are put in great danger when the serial killer gets reincarnated in the form of a revenge hungry drug ghost; a ghost that murders stoners in the form of trippy drug hallucinations. With the help of a paranormal expert, Seth and Mary attempt to survive and eliminate the evil once and for all. As the body count gets higher and the situation gets more dangerous, can Seth and Mary's love for each other overcome this huge obstacle?

The Embryo Who Came In From The Cold

They sing! They dance! They're embryos without a home! And one of them is ripped!

Logline
Five super embryos escape fertility lab in search for their mother. They don't know she already has a child and they can't stay outside a human body for more than eight hours.

Brief Synopsis
An animated dramedy based on reality and fantasy, accompanied by dreams, songs and dances that follows five frozen embryos in a fertility laboratory that have suddenly found themselves thawing due to technical difficulties. They decide to find their mutual biological mother and discover the reason they never reentered her womb. The story is told both from the embryos and their mother point of view.
Although the embryos are siblings from the same mother, they each have a different sperm donor father and therefore each of the embryos is endowed with super-powers in different areas due to paternal genetic make-up. They aspire to be born and so devise a plan to find their mother in spite of their minute size and the fact that they won't be able to survive for very long outside of a human body. On the way, they have many adventures including meeting with other embryos and all sorts of dangerous situations, both inside and outside of human bodies.
They learn about themselves and each other and learn to love and respect each other, in spite of the knowledge they acquire that there isn’t enough room for them all in their mother's womb. When they do find their mother, they are very surprised to learn that she has a child. Each of the embryos reacts in a different fashion; some are unwilling to abandon their biological mother, while others favor finding a different mother altogether.

THE PAINTING

I've always worried that a painting might territory me!

I recently completed a feature length screenplay THE PAINTING I would like to submit for your consideration. It's a horror movie and can be produced on a low budget.

What happens when a painting begins to behave like humans? It's a painting that moves regenerates and territories the people responsible for taking it from its cache.

When a mother buys this painting at a yard sale at the prodding of her daughter, she has no idea the evil she has in her hands. The mother must somehow get rid of it before it kills them; this becomes the fight of her life.

Once home, the painting begins to terrorize the mother, while her child becomes more attached to it. The mother's dead husband helps to haunt her through the painting. The dwarves on the artwork, who are seeking revenge for the once stolen art, are remorseless in their vengeance.

THE PAINTING is a story of theft, greed, a mother's guilt and a husband returning to haunt his wife. It's about the little people in the painting who haunt the art thief and buyers before they escape back to their own cache.

In writing the PAINTING which is my first screenplay, I have had help from the University of Wisconsin. I'm a member of the Wisconsin Screenwriter's Forum.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Norma D'Aguilar

It's A Popcorn World

Brilliant idea- not the screenplay necessarily- I mean creating more surface area by "popcorning" the world. Are we working on this?

"An inventor plans on expanding the world like a kernel of popcorn, if his dance-clubbing hunchback lawyer can keep him out of jail."

Genre: Comedy

Doctor Ben Masser (45), an absent-minded inventor, seeks to save his home from the government, which is using eminent domain to steal homes. Ben seeks to increase the available land by popping the world like a kernel of popcorn, if his dance-clubbing hunchback lawyer, Igor (30), can keep him out of jail long enough to accomplish his goal.

My scripts have placed well, including five contest wins.

The Script Savvy Screenplay Contest awarded "It's A Popcorn World" an honorable mention and a recommend from their critique.

I would like to submit this screenplay for your consideration and can be contacted as listed below.

Thank you.

A Level of Cool

There aren't enough "Sports Comedies" I say.

After a childhood of being tormented by a bully who is now a major star on a sports competition show, a meek twenty-something man seeks revenge on his former nemesis by getting in better shape and beating him at his own game.

Genre: Sports Comedy

Marcus the bully has stolen every girl Ryan has ever loved -- since they were in kindergarten! And though Ryan grows up looking good, athletic and physically fit, with a good job in a law firm, he still hungers for revenge. When he spots Marcus acting as resident baddie on an American Gladiators-type TV show -- it's the chance he's been waiting for!

He assembles a mismatched group of his fit friends -- who each have their own things to prove -- and they train for the chance to help Ryan defeat Marcus once and for all. Can Ryan go the distance and save not only his manhood, but his dojo and the marriage of his best friend? Or will Marcus engineer the ultimate defeat...before the final match has even been fought?

This script is based on my own experiences with a bully from school -- and my karate training certainly helped me write some knockout fight scenes! We all know what it's like to feel that hunger for payback...and in this script I feel I've come up with a really unique take on what it means to get even.

I would love to send over "A Level Of Cool" for your consideration! Thank you for your time -- I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Raef Lawson

Script Quarry Special: fairy tales

How lucky are we?!?! To unearth TWO fairy tales in the Script Quarry. As usual, you will finish reading these and curse "Oh hell! It's too late! Someone's already thought of it!"

Bye Cuspid! The Adventures of a Male Tooth Fairy

Motu Mikey here at the Internet café in Vava'u, Tonga where I recover from my first - and decidedly last - visit to a dentist in this island Kingdom. Ruing the absence of Novocain, I am determined to regain my sense of humor and, therefore, have concluded that this is a dandy time to introduce you to my family/comedy/fantasy screenplay, "Bye Cuspid! The Adventures of a Male Tooth Fairy".

An only child, Cuspid grew up in the Tooth Castle, quite content with his job as a janitor; brushing and polishing the millions of tiny teeth that cover the walls. Then one day his mother, the Tooth Fairy, decides it's time for her to retire. Tradition dictates that she pass on her magic wand only to family, so the beautiful Tippy - who happens to be smitten with Cuspid - is enlisted to join a plot to transform the naïve Cuspid into a family man. Cuspid reluctantly dons his tights and tutu, but complications soon arise that jeopardize an orphaned brother and sister... and everyone in the Tooth Castle. Cuspid must convince Tippy to join him in the outside world and, with help from the Boogie Man and the Sand Man they launch "Operation Orphans" to save the children and secure the purpose and future of the residents of the Tooth Castle.

Please let me know if I may email a .pdf of the 104-page script.

The Hatchet Fairy

A Fairy Tale Willing to Bleed its Way to the Ball

Bitty had always been a strange sister, so when Lore met Bitty's fairy godmother for the upcoming ball, she didn't think much of it. Sure, the fairy godmother was mean and drank scotch, but then again, Bitty was a personal injury lawyer, so allowances had to be made about her mental stability.

After refusing to go the ball and disgust the prince with her appearance, Lore wakes to find her roommate dead and Bitty still thirsty for blood. With the first strike of midnight, Bitty's gone and Lore's bleeding. Kill or be killed, the ghosts finally convince her. Armed with only her shoes, Lore has to survive the ball, ignore the prince, and kill her sister to stay alive.

Nicer than the ghosts in The Sixth Sense, more honest than Cinderella, and bloody as Scream's little sister, The Hatchet Fairy is a fairy tale willing to bleed its way to the ball.

I would love the chance to send you a copy of The Hatchet Fairy.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Craigslist = awesome.

So a few months ago I was intrigued by an ad I saw on craigslist in the writing section boasting a Hollywood-worthy life-story in need of a screenwriter. The person promised to email you a synopsis if you responded. Unable to resist the temptation of someone who thought their life story was so exciting that it deserved to be a movie, I wrote to this person. He responded with the following and is therefore clearly schizophrenic.(posted by dylan)

What set me down this path of intrigue and research started seven years ago when I was put under surveillance by the government. As soon as I realized I was being watched by the government, I started researching into the TOP SECRET surveillance system being used. At that point I was subjected to ABOVE TOP SECRET weaponry technologies that are of the highest echelon. My research then turned towards ABOVE TOP SECRET technologies, and I made some remarkable scientific observations and discoveries of ABOVE TOP SECRET technologies that are visible to us all, but few observes or can even begin to understand (i.e. the ABOVE TOP SECRET system that chemtrails support). I recently made an agreement not to speak of the TOP SECRET surveillance technology. But what is ABOVE TOP SECRET; they will not even acknowledge these technologies exist! So I have made no agreement to keep a vow of secrecy concerning the ABOVE TOP SECRET technologies, when they insist they don't even exist! These ABOVE TOP SECRET technologies, many current and past, will make a great movie that is both intellectual and compelling, yet character based and emotionally charged. Something an audience can really connect to! I will show you government documents, scientific literature and visible signs of technologies that are astounding! I CAN OPEN YOUR EYES AND MIND TO TECHNOLOGIES THAT ARE ALMOST BEYOND BELIEF IN THEIR SCOPE AND IMPLICATION! I've done the scientific research for 7 years and have the synopsis that ties it all together. I'm looking for a script writer partner who knows Hollywood, to get the project going. If you are interested in such a project please email me.

"An Emotional Homicide"

This was mistakenly sent to my literary agency, even though we didn't represent screenwriters. There are also two samples from the script itself, that could be added if necessary. They are pretty gold so I might have to.
(posted by dylan)

To Whom it May Concern:

Is it possible that I could send my screenplay to your agency for a reading. If accepted, is possible that it could be solicited to a movie studio or a production house. An Emotional Homicide is a story that is fictional and is a mix of my life experience. In my life experience I have seen women take control. Seeing my mother hustling numbers (book runner), drinking expense liquor and wine, to my mother's female friends and cousins sniffing cocaine, and driving big Cadillac's (to this very day my mother drives a Cadillac). To seeing my female cousins and female friends growing up in the Crack-Cocaine 80's transporting drugs into the United States and falling victim to the drugs they transported, and being incarcerated in federal prison, to catching the AIDS virus. These are some of the dialogues that were put in this script. The film industry is always saying they are in need of something fresh and something that is of the norm. Or would I say, "Pop Culture". And this would be, lesbianism, drug trafficking, a backstabbing plot, and of course, a love triangle. Pop Culture has produced feminist T.V. series like Sex and the City, Showtime's the "L Word", ABC's "Desperate House Wives", Urban film classic "Set If Off', and the mother of all lesbian film thrillers "Basic Instinct". All of these feminist characters in these genres are bad to the bone. Whether they are Black, White, or Latino Americans, the characters character stands out. But what separates my characters (in An Emotional Homicide) from all of other genre's, they are stone cold murders who are transporting heroin out of an African country by using people with AIDS that are in need of medical care. And they have the gall to go to an African country to take out an African dictator by using the dictator's general to kill him to keep the heroin coming into the United States. None of the characters in the other genre's a mentioned has done that. An Emotional Homicide is a good and exciting story that holds together from the beginning to the end. It is the art of story telling and screen writing by bringing a clear picture to the director to direct. There are two scenes from my screenplay attached to get a feel of what to expect if granted permission to send the script to your agency for a reading.

Red Moon Rising

Glad to know what this fellow is thinking about whilst protecting our border.(posted by Alissa)

"Illegal border crossers must confront face a new challange on their quest for the American Dream. An ancient predator stalks the desert night, and they hunger...for blood."

Genre: Thriller/Horror

Border Patrol Agent Tony Reed investigates the brutal murders of three of his fellow agents, apparent victims of drug cartel hit men. He soon discovers that Vampires stalk the desert night, and they feed upon the illegal immigrants crossing the U.S. / Mexico border. Tony along with tribal members of the Tohono O'odham and Yaqui Nations hunt the coven of vampires which hides atop the Native American sacred mountain known as Otam Kawi, Skeleton Mountain.

The script was inspired from my current duty assignment with Border Patrol as a contracted Transportation Officer in Tucson, AZ.

2 from andrew

These puppies were submitted to Cory through craigslist. Looks to me like this guy wrote a script, and then a script about writing that script- though I assume it is mostly fictional. Lord.

Journey To The Green Monster is about two teen going Cross Country from California to Boston. They are running from their troubled pasts. Soon they will be running from the mob and the FBI.

After eleven years, Vinnie's father, a famous mob boss, is getting out of jail. When Vinnie was a child he saw his father cutting up a body in the basement. He hasn't spoken to him since. He never told anyone
Joel's mother died when he was young. His father abused him, mentally and physically for most of his life.
Before graduation, both boys head towards Boston to catch a redsox game and for Joel to see the house where his mother grew up. Little known to Vinnie Joel killed his father before he left.
After finding out the money they were suppose to survive on was spent, and knowing he can't go back, Joel pulls out a gun and robs a convenient store. This sends the boys on a thrilling crash course with the FBI and Mob as they streak across the country towards Boston.

IN GOD'S TIME

After losing her husband a courageous woman, Mary Beth Andrews, will risk it all by taking her husbands lost dream across the country to Los Angeles.
After twenty years of marriage, Eben, Mary Beth's Husband, confesses to Mary Beth that he wants to desert his successful business and good friends in Boston to try out his passion, screen writing In Los Angeles. He had just finished his first script, Journey To The Green Monster, and felt it was what he had to do. Mary Beth argued the idea to her last breath. A heated argument followed. Ultimately ending when Mary Beth informed Eben she is pregnant.
Eben being the man he is, buries his passion for writing and stays in Boston. A few days later Eben dies.
A few months later we find Mary Beth alone at her cottage in the middle of the Cape Cod. In the height of winter, Mary Beth soaks in her misery. Through the darkness comes a package for her late husband.
This package will ultimately send Mary Beth on the craziest journey of her life. She heads cross country to get Eben's script sold or made for him. In her journeys she meets Jasmine and Joshua who will help her deal with the harsh realities of Hollywood, and help her learn to trust love again.

Let me know if you like the ideas. I'm getting some interest for Journey but now it looks shaky. Both are strong stories with endless possibilities. If not, I wish you the best of luck.

Potential Book - Manuscript Query Letter

*Special BOOK query!* This is a quarry letter I received while working for a literary agent (books, not films). Essentially, this makes no sense at all. One would think that if you were trying to get an agent to represent your book, that you might first make sure your quarry letter was written in passable English. This isn't. Also - this woman has other works published; what?! I've never been more blown away in my life.(posted by Dylan)

Dear Ms. Liss,

I've just completed a novel entitled The Fleets of Seldom and am now seeking representation. Here's a synopsis:

The Fleets of Seldom is a modern domestic drama soaked in classical, mythical blood. The novel is a non-linear narrative of 9 chapter; each chapter focuses on a specific character and is of that character's viewpoint. The Fleets live in the fictional desert town of Seldom, Arizona (a town surrounded with shifting sands and underneath those sands are skeletons, weapons, cockpits, rudders, fish hooks, dice, a tuba, anything). Olivia Fleet, the center of this family, the hub of it: after her husband's death 15 summers previous, she made decisions that seemed smart at the time, but which now have potent consequences, mostly impacting her two children, Caitlin and Caleb. Caitlin: a relentlessly sweet and sane girl, but inside her is a cauldron and it is now tipping. Caleb: a boy caught with Hustler and Aeschylus. After their father's death and their mother's deliberate walling in of pain and grief, these siblings become too close and their closeness is damaging and in this story comes to its ultimatum (and after their night of awful paradise, Caitlin despairs, but Caleb is liberated - though they were lead to believe the opposite would happen). Here too: Jamie Smithy, a clean cut and proper seeming guy who collides with the adult Caitlin and becomes tangled in the Fleet family (and tangled into Caleb's fury and envy; Caleb attacks Jamie the night before the wedding, but oddly, Jamie welcomes this beating - there is a cracked heard under his mild surface). Here too: David Gambrel, a pianist who has lost his wow and who has almost lost his hands (teaching at a school in Kandahar when a suicide truck bomb blows it apart, blows apart the piano he's sitting at); he comes home to Seldom (his mother is suffering from dementia) and there is the Olivia of his memory (and how his memory of her lifts her and it is to David that she releases her grief at last; "Mourn now," says David).

Scenes in one character's chapter are echoed and overlap in another character's chapter (dialogue often used as a cue; for example, the day of the husband/father's death is seen through Olivia's eyes and child Caitlin's eyes and then merely as what was told to Caleb when he became old enough to understand). Stitched through with blood imagery (split lip, cut skin, a body broken on seashore rocks), The Fleets of Seldom is about borders crossed or borders avoided and what results from these choices.

My fiction has been published in current or recent issues of Pebble Lake Review, Salt Hill, The First Line, The Bullfight Review, Harpur Palate, jerseyworks.com, whimperbang.com, diceybrown.com. One of my stories has been recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize. I'm a graduate of The College of Santa Fe, NM, but have since lived in my native Arizona.

Which Christ?

Honestly I am posting this, having not read past the first sentence. And can be counted on to continue to post, blindly, anything that the author calls "Christian Fiction", contains amazing punning as "criss-cross" and involves wild spelling errors. That, to me, indicates passion in writing this query.(posted by Alissa)

"The lives of two men, J.C. and his cousin Jesus, criss-cross. One man, Jesus is determined to reap havoc on the "powers to be" for the beheading murder of his other cousin John the baptist. The other man J.C. is destined to die for the sins of all mankind, but not if his mother Mary has anything to say about it!"

Genre: Christian Fiction

Which Christ? is the trial of a man whose witness testimony against him paints a picture of one family's reluvtant, deliberate involvement, participation in events that lead up to a verdict that marks the beginnging, ending of the world as we know, perceive it.

The story originated during my stint as a Jehovah's Witness. After reading the story about the life of Jesus over and over countless times, I concluded that the writers of the four gospels were either writing about two different men or the son of God was mostly human and suffered from multiple personality disorder.

Into the Sunset

You lost me at "karaoke."(posted by Alissa)

Logline: Charged with stalking his dream girl, Charlie relies on best friend Shania to help win her over. But scheming Shania secretly loves Charlie, and her "helpful advice" seeks to make Charlie fall in love with her instead.

Synopsis:

What would you do to win over the person of your dreams?

Hopeless idealist and anime aficionado Charlie Welshman will do anything to win Flavia's heart. But after being convicted of stalking his dream girl, his best friend and roommate Shania, takes over responsibility for him. A no-nonsense junior accountant, Shania promises to help Charlie achieve nirvana by giving him the social tools needed to win Flavia over.

But Shania has dreams of her own, and her "help" is really designed to cure Charlie of his Flavia fantasy by making him fall in love with her instead. Unfortunately her plans tend to backfire in unexpected ways, and she ends up giving him genuine confidence that he can steal Flavia's heart. Desperate to stop this from happening, Shania convinces Flavia's ex, Seth, to get back together with Flavia again. After seeing Flavia with Seth, a discouraged Charlie finally agrees to seek treatment for his Flavia "addiction."

When the person treating Charlie reveals that Shania loves him, Charlie, angered by her betrayal, breaks off their friendship. But he soon realizes that Shania holds the key to winning Flavia, since only she knows what makes a girl fall in love with him. Charlie and Shania cut a deal whereby Shania will help Charlie get a genuine shot at winning over Flavia by helping him put his best foot forward. If it doesn't work out, then Charlie agrees to be with Shania.

On Shania's advice, they got to a karaoke bar where Charlie sings his heart out for Flavia, Flavia recompenses him with a smile. Shania, who realizes the game is up, runs away, heartbroken. Charlie searches for her desperately but can't find her. He calls 911 but before he can report her as a missing person he receives a text message from Flavia asking to meet in the park. Charlie runs off, dropping his cell phone. When Shania returns to the apartment and reads the message on his cell, she swallows a bottle of painkillers and lies down to die, facing the setting sun.

The movie ends with Charlie and Flavia in the park, walking into the sunset, as the haunting siren of the ambulance carrying a dying Shania fades out in the distance.

Draconian Fire Of Light

As far as the author's promise that "Draconian Fire Of Light has mainstream appeal and commercially viable" I can't see any flaw in that statement given the following information:(posted by Alissa)

Loyalist Hussy

I think it would be an injustice not to make a movie with such a catchy title. And set in 1780.(posted by Alissa)

"Five years into the American Revolution, an unyielding headhunter from Washington's Army sets out on a violent, determined trek across the Northeast to find the elusive prostitute accusing him of conspiring with British forces."

John Winslow, a Loyalist headhunter for the Continental Army, hunts down an elusive prostitute after she soils his name to his superiors. The prostitute, a Loyalist, has accused Winslow of betraying the American rebellion in order to undermine his success. Winslow, shocked and outraged at the hussy's attack, vows to silence the girl. Over the course of his long, violent trek, he callously risks his life, and the lives of others, in order to complete this personal mission. The story takes place in October of 1780, taking the characters from upstate New York to the coast of Rhode Island.

Knots

Oooooohhhohoaooorororororooeohr;hf
Sorry I got carried away. That is not exactly a ghost noise. But here we are with another creative ghost story. Haunted furniture... imagine the action. The suspense. The cracking varnish as the loveseat dons a wicked smile...
OKay I am getting too excited. Here's the query:

Query for "Knots"

"Haunting spirits push four families down the chilliing path of their antique furniture till they reach the same location and horrific discovery from where the wood orginated. Together they try to right the wrong and settle the spirits in an attempt to get their lives back to normal."

Genre: Super Natural/Ghost Story

Four seperate families purchase antique furniture from seperate vendors. Then find out over time that the furniture is haunted because of the past of the wood and from where it was harvested. They all set out in seperate directions, only to find themselves together in the same town. All with the same knowledge of the spirits or so they think.

Lifesaver

Wait... what? Mr McLau- Charlie, if I may: sometimes it helps to give just a little more information in your query. Your reader, then will be left saying "I want to hear more!" instead of "Wait... what?" Just some constructive criticism.

"An arrogant businessman takes a nightmarish, life changing trip to a wacky island full of the bizarre and macabre where anything can and probably will happen in this offbeat supernatural comedy simply because he failed to read the brochure..."

Genre: Comedy

Roger Mills is sent on an urgent business trip to save his job, company and upcoming wedding. However, Roger is struck on the head by a strange bolt of blue lightning that has a life altering effect on him. First to go his is luck; it goes from incredible to no luck at all. KUNG FU JESUS

That word "polishing" always gets me. Means the script is nice and tight. I don't see how this simple plot could not be in such a state. I know my co-quarrier cory (oh man that is an awesome set of words) is going to want to consider this for a table read.

We have just finished polishing KUNG FU JESUS, a comedy which follows Jesus, after the resurrection, permanently returned to earth. He is bestowed the powers of kung fu and time travel. The stress of family added with the constant badgering by Pontius Pilate, compel Kung Fu Jesus into the future. Wherein, he connects with many colorful characters and also finds himself caught in the cross hairs of corporate recruitment and IRS investigations. Trapped in this double life, biblical and modern, Kung Fu Jesus is perilously close to wrecking God's Plan.

In Mysterious Ways

I do love when one movie meets another movie at an old folks home with a ghost in it!

What if the ghost of a young boy lived at a 'home' for the elderly? His deeds were menacing yet caring and accommodating. Would the nursing staff accept the angel's existence and recognize his goods deeds, or refuse to believe that such a presence exists and investigate the bizarre occurrences that are happening at Pinebrook Assisted Living?

I have just completed In mysterious Ways; a family comedy/drama chock full of characters that appear to be surrounded by such circumstances.

Logline:
A ghost named Tristan is loose at an old home! After Gloria Boyd loses her only son in freak accident, he returns as an angel/ghost to assist not only his mother but the other residents of Pinebrook Assisted Living live out their last years. The neglectful and stern head nurse of the "home", Candy, is faced with the mysterious acts of kindness a ghost is giving her patients and is driven to restore order and gain control once again of Pinebrook. "Topper Takes a Trip" meets "Patch Adams."

X Marks the Spot

This is from a 2 person writing team from Australia, and honestly I think describing the plot of any/every pirate movie ever made is not exactly the best way to pitch this. Just a constructive criticism.

"X Marks the Spot" is an action/adventure pirate comedy film which follows the bumbling Pirate Des and his inept crew as they attempt to bury the two Great Pirate Treasures that they have just stolen from the notorious Captain Good. Can Pirate Des outrun Captain Good? And who is the mysterious stowaway Sally and why is she so desperate to recover her Sterling Silver Serving Tray and Sterling Silver Goblets...?

I smell high jinks!

THE LIFE OF THE PARTY

Logline: How far will a boring guy go to win the heart of his dream girl, who desires a man with a great sense of humor?

Genre: Comedy

But when competition enters - namely British comedian, Billy Bedlam, Duncan overdoses in an attempt to be #1 funny man. The downside is his humor becomes insulting and rude, causing him to lose friends, clients and landing him in jail. Even after stopping the Jovitrol, he's still Don Rickles. Will the comic nightmare wreck his new relationship? And is being funny worth it or should we just be happy with who we are?

MAKING OF SAM'S "HERO"

So, what drew me to posting this script query, is it forced me to wonder what a LASBIAN is. It must be some sort of hybrid. It is in all caps, so I was drawn to the word, but this description may be too long for me to get through the whole thing. Maybe you can read it and let me know...

MAKING OF SAM'S "HERO"

SAM IS AN ASPIRING FILMMAKER, WHO IS TRYING TO MAKE A FILM FOR SUNDANCE DURING HIS SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, BUT SINCE HE HAS NO RESOURCES OR POPULARITY AT SCHOOL, THE TASK PROVES DAUNTING, WILL HE "MAKE IT" OR NOT?

Genre: Comedy

SAM is an aspiring film maker, who is having rough high school years with his 2 best friends JOE and AMANDA, they already had the worst 3 years in high school, they were invisible, really invisible to the point of being able to crash parties, still when they do they had no luck making new friends, because they were invisible. they needed to cast students to make a film which they were making for sundance film festival. So at the end of the summer holidays they decided to crash the biggest party in town held by the MAX, the quarterback of their high school team, where they would hand out cards for auditions and have fun. but things go wrong when they crash it and MAX finds out and humiliates them, killing not only their dreams to get laid on senior year, but also their chances of making a film.

MAX is the kind of guy who has everything; he is the definition of the American dream, the football star of his high school team with many NFL coaches knocking on his door, waiting for him to graduate. His dad is a very powerful agent that represents many Hollywood stars. And with that came the cars the parties, the ladies the life style that most only dream of, so senior year was looking good for him.

But it might not go his way after all; so far he had no competition with the ladies by anyone in school, until the new student shows up, THE HOTTEST LASBIAN EVER (MEGAN FOX TYPE). MEGAN becomes the center of attention in school and her popularity soars even more when she rejects a date from MAX.

MAX and MEGAN start to compete for girls and create a war between each other in school, they would both hit on the same girls at parties and malls, and would both show affection in public to make each other jealous. MAX then pays a hooker to act like a new girl at school and get with MAGEN and tape a sex scene with her, and then spread the tape around the school, which gets MEGAN expelled and humiliated.

For revenge Megan teams up with SAM and JOE. Their plan hits many birds with one stone, they decided to make a film as their payback, since they need a film for the Sundance Film Festival. They use the footage from MEGAN's tape, and set out to make a Comedy about how Women are better off having sex with unattractive Horney Men and other Women rather than attractive men who are over-rated and Viagra dependant because unattractive men are in need of sex which gives for a great sex, and women know what women want. They start by making a sex scene with SAM and MEGAN.

SAM and JOE convince a mom to play a role in the movie which involves hitting on MAX, taking him home, giving him Chinese tee that makes him unaroused and have unpleasant unsatisfying sex with him, and then have her husband walks in on them in the middle of it, and with their special effects and filming skills they make the husband chop the moms head and get great Footage of MAX running naked scared in the streets unaroused.

When the film is done, its gets many Award at Sundance Film Festival and becomes a classic, which starts a new trend in High schools all over north America "its better to date unattractive men, because they are better at sex and have better future". It also makes MEGANS tape look like leaked footage from the film instead of a standalone tape, which lifts off her suspension from school and launches a great film career.

During the last game of the season, out of anger Max head buts another player who was making fun of him and falls unconscious, and he wakes up in the hospital with a slight brain damage which was helped by the trauma he went through seeing a women get slaughtered, and becomes the most loved retard in town and ends up dating the nerdish/half crazy girl in school who always fantasizes about him and says to other girls that one day hell be hers.

The script was pitched to Seth Rogen.

The Koi Keeper: exotic revenge

The Koi Keeper

"Kidnapped and condemned to a brothel in Bangkok, an American girl falls in love with and marries her rescuer, only to discover he was the drug lord responsible for her kidnapping."

Genre: Drama

After ten years of servitude, a kidnapped American girl is plucked from a Bangkok brothel by a mysterious Japanese man. As his personal servant and confidante, she tends his exquisite koi pond and falls in love with him. When she marries him, she discovers he was the drug lord who kidnapped her to avenge her mother's betrayal, and now she must exact her own exotic revenge.

This screenplay has won/placed in ten contests (Page International, Script Savvy, Extreme Screenwriting, Contest of Contest Winners, etc) and is the fourth script my co-writer and I have written together. I was also production manager/A.D. on the feature film Converging with Angels, voted best American Dogme film.

I would like to submit The Koi Keeper for your consideration and can be contacted as listed below.

Thank you.

attention: totally non offensive "multi-cultural script"

Enclosing a synopsis for my script, "Miss China."

MISS CHINA
(comedy)

"Miss China" is a comedy about a set of twins that come from Mainland China to study in the United States. One, Mary, is serious, sober and diligent. The other, Lilly, is naughty, sexy and fun loving. In a series of mistaken identities, reminiscent of Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" they throw the campus into a turmoil.

Dale Ashburn is a renowned physicist who takes Mary as his teaching assistant. Dale's hillbilly brother shows up on campus and pretends to be Dale and beds Lilly. Dale is also secretly bedding Lilly and mistakenly believes he is bedding Mary. Dale's wife finds out and mistakenly accuses Mary. Lilly is also dating and bedding fraternity boys and takes a job as a stripper in a nightclub. In the meantime the college president is bedding co-eds and stealing from the college. In the end, Lilly accuses the board of regents of hypocrisy and forces them to appoint Dale's hillbilly brother as the new president of the college.

Sex, comedy and sexual hi-jinks define this multi-cultural script. Film can be shot entirely in the Southern California area.

Tombstoned

Hey,

Not sure if any of your clients are looking for horror flick scripts, but my partner and I just finished our latest screenplay, "Tombstoned", a stoner horror comedy, and I think you'd dig it.

Here's the info:

Logline: Pot smokers have reason to be paranoid when demons rise from the haze.
Tagline: Don't fear the reaper... fear the reefer.

Let me know if you want to see a pdf or a hard copy of the script.

Take care,

Griffin

Logline:

"A wildlife ranger with a deep commitment to protecting gorillas, a dedicated zoo veterinarian and an egotistical surgeon band together to protect a singular creature named Griffin -- a half-ape, half-dolphin with the intelligence of any human."

Genre: Action/Adventure

Synopsis

Kamau was once a park ranger faced with a Hobson's choice: save his son's life or kill one of the last of the gorilla species. He chose to let his son die and is now a broken man.

Anna is a beautiful veterinarian who teams up with Kamau to protect Griffin, a half-ape and half-dolphin creature, at the zoo. There are many people in the world who want a piece of this unique animal. Anna's incompetence in the lab led to Griffin's birth and she now bears responsibility for his survival. For Kamau, protecting Griffin is a chance for redemption.

Erik Zimmer is both a brilliant surgeon and obsessive hunter. He at first pursues Griffin like he would any other animal, setting in motion a long chase out of the zoo and into the wild. However, once he witnesses Griffin's intellectual abilities, he begins to consider Griffin his equal. This causes Zimmer to question the true distinction between humans and animals and to re-examine his own moral compass.

Zimmer joins Kamau and Anna to protect Griffin from a group of sadistic smugglers. Will Griffin be able to survive in the wild without the medical care he so urgently requires? Will Griffin even be willing to go back to captivity? Is Zimmer really a changed man or does he still want Griffin's stuffed pelt on his wall?

Thank you. "Griffin" can be submitted through an attorney or manager if needed. Also please let me know if you would like to see "Wall Street Sumo", a drama about the greatest college football player of all time who tries to find redemption in the sumo ring.

"Night at the Carriage House" - (ERIKA ELENIAK - ROXANNE HART - ERIN GRAY are all attached) A murdered starlet from Hollywood’s Golden Age returns from the dead to torment the manipulative young actress chosen to play her in a movie... 185K line item budget.

"Skipping Stones to Madonna" - A young man returns home to confront the guilt of killing his best friend years earlier, but learns that redemption comes with a price.

I wrote and directed the feature films "Letting Life In," "No Place Like Home," and "Lucas Booth: Journey to Unknown," which have all been picked up for distribution by ECHELON STUDIOS.

I also directed a TV PILOT for executive producer Michael Tadross, Jr., and I just edited the feature film Rex.

I have attached a few support materials for your review.
