Cover Band: Don't Stop Believing

Cover Band: Don't Stop Believing is a comedic musical adventure encompassing our bar band, Starship Runner.

Log:

A cover band grows before our eyes to play on the grandest of stages, Madison Square Garden.

Synopsis:

A band plays in a bar on a Wednesday night for no money. A stark reality for most bands these days. But Starship Runner isn't going to take it lying down! Kix, Carl, DJ and Mike set forth to find themselves a manager. Someone who is going to have their best interests at heart. Someone who knows about the business of music and promotion. Or someone who is going to kidnap them. Which is exactly what Gary did.

After weeks of preparation Starship Runner is thrown into the spotlight via a "battle of the bands" contest held in a popular bar in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After much mockery Starship Runner comes out guns blazing to win over the audience and more importantly, the judges.

Five years later. Starship Runner's awakening performance at the "battle of the bands" is long behind them. They are now on the road, living their dream. They have a PR person, manager, roadies, a tour bus, and a tour bus driver. Carl writes a book reaching out to preteens and, touched by fame, the band decides to make a documentary about their historic run and eventual concert at Madison Square Garden.

They arrive in New York City virtual virgins to big city life. We follow the band through the lens of the documentary during their escapades in New York City.

Finally, time for the big show! All their hard work has paid off! Through the lens of a documentary film we follow Starship Runner and their entourage on the day of their momentous show and through the performance. A big musical piece caps off this film and at the end we are left to wonder if in fact, Starship Runner enjoys eating sushi.

Thank you again for taking the time to read through this and I hope to hear from your organization soon!

Sincerely,
